The IRGG welcomed noted filmmaker John Akomfrah who screened The Stuart Hall Project (2011). The screening was followed by a conversation about the work and legacy of the seminal Caribbean intellectual and cultural studies pioneer Stuart Hall, who passed away in February 2014. Professors Hazel V. Carby, Michael Denning, and Kobena Mercer joined Mr. Akomfrah in the discussion at the Whitney Humanities Center.
